1. Netgear WiFi Extender Setup via WPS

It is called as Wi-Fi Protected Setup through which you can connect to the existing network quickly without logging into the admin console of the wireless router. Here are steps to setup Netgear WiFi extender via WPS push button.
#1: Turn on the router and find the WPS button.
#2: Now take the extender and plug it to the router nearest power socket.
#3: Now press the WPS button on the Netgear Wi-Fi range extender, and you will see a blinking green light.
#4: Within in few seconds, press the WPS button on the router. Now it will search for the nearest extender, and it connects to it without any much effort. When both communicate, you will see a steady green LED on both the devices.
#5: Finally, take your wireless device and connect it to the Netgear WiFi extender broadcasted network. The SSID will end with ‘EXT.’
2. Configure Netgear WiFi Range Extender via Ethernet
#1: First of all, take the Ethernet or LAN cable and connect the Netgear WiFi extender to the Laptop or Computer. This method is only for the models that have Ethernet port.
#2: Access the admin console of your Netgear Wi-Fi Range Extender via http://mywifiext.net.
#3: When you prompted to enter the login credentials, provide the username as admin and password as the password.
#4: Now navigate to Setup then Wireless Settings and change the Network key to the existing WiFi password that is under Security Options.
#5: Now remove the cables and connect to the Netgear WiFi extender wirelessly using the same WiFi password.
3. Manually Setup Netgear Wi-Fi Extender
It is always suggested to reset the Netgear WiFi extender to the factory default settings when you re-configure the existing device. To do, press and hold the reset button for about 7 seconds until all the power lights restart.
#1: Power off the Wireless Router first. Then power up the Netgear WiFi extender and connect to it using the default WiFi password. You will find this in the instruction booklet.
#2: Once connected, login to Netgear WiFi extender page using http://mywifiext.net.
#3: Enter the default login details.
#4: Follow the onscreen instructions to setup the Netgear Router Wi-Fi Extender. All you need to provide is the same SSID and the WiFi password of your existing wireless router.
#5: Finally, Power on the router and wait until it connects to the extender. Once done, pair your wireless devices with the Netgear WiFi range extender to browse the Internet.
